MotoAmerica at Road Atlanta Overnight Ride

And we're off to the races........literally! Road Captain John Kollenbroich will be leading an overnight to Braselton, Georgia. What's in Braselton you ask? The MotoAmerica Superbikes at Road Atlanta. Here is the link: MotoAmerica.

It's an exciting venue located 35 miles north of Atlanta. Five classes of road racing will compete, at speeds up to 190 MPH! Sound like fun? Yes!! So here are the details.

John is planning on leaving on Friday morning, April 17. Departure time will be communicated as we get closer to the date. The route will be almost all backroads to the hotel. It is approximately 300 miles, about 8 hours with stops. There will be 5 stops planned about every 1-1 1/4 hours. See the link below for the route. The return route is not fully planned, but we will be riding home on Monday morning. This will allow us to watch the full race on Sunday afternoon, without trying to race home and beat the clock.

Home2 Suites by Hilton Buford Mall of Georgia. John has a block of rooms booked. This hotel is about 20-25 minutes from the track. Room rate is $137/night, not including taxes. It will be a 3-night stay, check-in on Friday and check-out out on Monday. Currently, we have 20 rooms on hold, and the deadline to reserve is March 27. However, it is a good idea to get your rooms as soon as possible, as things could change as we get closer to the event.
